Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Navy and Marine Corps Veteran Charles Redd. Charles served during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Dominican Civil War and Vietnam War.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Henry Johnson. Henry received the Medal of Honor for his actions in World War I.

On November 27th, 2018, while working in a joint operation with Afghan forces in Ghazni Province, Andrew and two other soldiers were killed in an IED attack.

Purple Hearts Reunited has returned medals to their recipients’ families or to homes of honor from Nov. 1 through Nov. 3 across the state of Pennsylvania.

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Army Veteran Charles Rodriguez. Charles served as part of Merrill’s Marauders during World War II.

While serving in a joint operation with Afghan forces in Ghazni Provence, Dylan Elchin was killed in an IED attack on November 27, 2018.

All except for three were killed. The remaining soldiers were captured. Joseph Annello was held as a prisoner of war until he successfully escaped May 1951

He swore into the Army as a Cadet in the Air Corps. Harold Riley became a pilot in the newly formed Army Air Corps in the 24th Aero Squadron unit.

During his time in Vietnam, Derl Horn was one of a group of Marines called “Walking Dead”. During the Battle of Buffalo only 26 out of 150 Marines survived.

The doctors gave her the choice of having her husband continue treatment in the hospital or take him home. “No way I was going to leave him there.” Her experience is a class for all caregivers. 

Today’s #VeteranOfTheDay is Marine Veteran Alexander Bonnyman Jr. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor and the Purple Heart.

On November 3rd, 2018, while advising Afghan forces in Kabul, Mayor of North Ogden Brent Taylor was killed during an apparent insider attack.
